Louise B. Jacob began her musical career at Fairfield High School in the fall of 1987. After graduating from high school in the spring of 1991 she attended California State University, Hayward.  Miss Jacob received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1995 after studying conducting with Tim Smith and trombone performance with Dan Livesay.

In 1996 Miss Jacob returned to Fairfield High School as the Associate Director of Bands.  Then, in the fall of 1997 Miss Jacob added the title of Director of Bands at Green Valley Middle School and worked with the Festival of the Classics Youth Orchestra.  Miss Jacob remains active as a trombonist with the Solano Winds Community Band in Fairfield.

In the winter of 2004, Miss Jacob was given the position of Band Director at Armijo High School. Miss Jacob is now the current band director at Armijo High School. She is hear for the long haul and strives to bring the Armijo Band to the "Super" Band they once were. In the hands of Miss Jacob, the Armijo Band will soon be a band to watch out for in the upcoming years.
